Something that’s been on my mind alot lately — Will the prophecy of the destruction of Damascus be fulfilled in the near future? I have never in my life seen Damascus mentioned in the news so often, as I have in the last 6 months or so!
Damascus is known to be one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world, thus this prophecy has yet to be fulfilled…
“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” – Isaiah 17:1

If you have the needed patience, you will understand a bit more about the prophecy you posted about.
Damascus. In Arabic it is pronounced: DEE MASHQ but it is written DAM SHAK
DAM = BLOOD
SHAK = BROTHER
On a hill in Damascus, it is said that Cain spilled his brother Abel’s Blood. And now, the Syrian regime is implementing upon the people the meaning of the name of their seat of Power.
SYRIA. Once part of the ASSYRIAN empire. ASSYRIAN literally means “those that imprison”.
The torture prisons of Syria are now well documented.
ISAIAH is pronounced ASHE’ YA in the Hebrew/Aramaic/Arabic and means the one that sees. Since most of his book are future prophecies, his name is self evident.
EL = the most high Canaanite that is the origin of the henotheistic Abrahamic religions.
EL literally means “most High” as in High in the worshiping of a High in the literal sky of deity.
ISRAEL = made up of 2 parts:
ISRA( Belonging to, prisoners of, or servants of)
EL (the Most High)
ISRAEL was once called JACOB( YACOUB)
JACOB means one who is being punished.
Before he can become a servant/prisoner/belong of/to the most High, an ISRA-EL person first gets punished.
ISRA-EL as written in Hebrew, is a state of being.
The ISRA-EL were being held in bondage by the Egyptians who ruled from their seat of power, present day CAIRO.
CAIRO in Arabic is written/pronounced AL-Kahira and means literally: “The Oppressor”
So, therefore, once the servants ISRAEL were freed from the Oppressor, they belonged to the most high.
Later on the freed servants ISRAEL became a Kingdom. The 12 Hebrew tribes split and 2 of them became the tribes of JUDAH and founded the kingdom of JUDEA.
The first Kingdom that ISRAEL fought was the Kingdom of JUDEA.
Therefore, it can be established based on these proofs that the term ISRAEL is a state of being of people in bondage, in servitude, being oppressed and not the eventual nation that was founded by usurious bankers and using the biblical forbidden Star of Chium/Moloch/Remphan(Amos 5:26) as the phalic pagan symbol on its flag.

ASSAD means LION in Arabic.
The Father HAFEZ ASSAD means Protector/Keeper of the Lion.
Before he changed his last name to ASSAD, he used to be HAFEZ Al-WAHSH.
AL-WAHSH means “The Beast” in Arabic.
Therefore he was the Protector/Keeper of the Beast.
Bashar Assad means One who heralds the Lion or if you keep the original family’s name, One who Heralds the Beast.
So Bashar Assad, auspiciously born on 9/11, Heralds the Beast.
What Beast? Maybe the one in Revelation? Having the Head of a Lion when he attacks the ISRA-EL( his father fought the country of ISRAEL)
Orthodox Judaism does not believe in the Rothschild founded country of ISRAEL and believe it is an affront to GOD for a country to be founded by usurious bankers to stand as an impostor against GOD’s coming Kingdom.
Could the State of ISRAEL of today be the “Abomination of Desolation” that Christ spoke of?
Since it was founded as a response to an occult abominable sacrifice of humanity(the holocaust), it has only brought desolation to the Middle East since it was founded.
The end of the ISAIAH 17 prophecy goes like this:
“And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us. ”
There is mention earlier in the chapter of the sparing of innocent lives before the final punishment of removing the One who Heralds the Beast from power( aka BASHAR AL-ASSAD/AL_WAHSH)
This implies something occurs at night time that removes him from power but since he is just the head of a corrupt and vile regime, the removal of power might imply the whole regime. What can cause the disappearance of his regime overnight creating a ruinous heap?
In January, Assad threatened to engulf the Middle East in War if attacked.
In August, He threatened to destroy Tel Aviv in 6hrs if attacked.
Will there be a night time attack against him by the powers that be such as the world has never seen?
Will he and his entire regime be destroyed in 5hrs so that before morning, between 11:30 pm and 4:30 am, they are wiped from existence?
That is what puzzles me.
In order to increase your understanding of biblical scripture and prophecy, you need to understand the languages of the Middle East that the bible was written in so that you can have a proper context to go from.
Otherwise you are only getting half the story.

Great post. just a reminder of Who is really in charge. Today i read about syria. This pres of syria saw what happened to Iraq, afgan, and other small nations when western civ. moved in. He Assad does not want America to control Him. So He will fight to the end and that end is still to come. closer than we think. Again great post and i see you have studied the old books thats is very good.. I am a watchman and have been shouting from the wall for over 20yrs now. seems very few are listening to God warnings in His word.

Damascus is not going to be destroyed…I’m proud to be form one of the oldest families in Damascus..we shall win this battle…Israel wont get an inch form our land..its ours and we shall fight till the last drop of blood…watch the news carefully we fought tanks and jets with a stone and a rifle…we are very strong people and so shall our enemies fear us..

Jasmine, above all I pray for your salvation, followed by your safety. Jesus, Yeshua, is THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life, there is NO way to the Father, our Creator, the one true God, except through Him. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you WILL be saved.
As for this prophecy concerning Damascus, they are not my words but His. The fulfillment of this prophecy is as sure as the sun’s rising tomorrow. Damascus IS ALREADY becoming a ruinous heap around you, but soon, very soon, it will no longer even be considered a city because of the vast destruction.
Flee while you can my dear woman. Flee to the only true place of safety in the coming tribulations – Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, the Messiah ♥ HE loves you & desires you to be saved! *HUGS*
